IMMERSIVE LAUNCH EVENT FOR DIOR

VAST was brought in as the main contractor for Dior, to deliver a fully immersive event experience in prestigious London venue, Saatchi Gallery. The brief was to create an immersive room and presentation screen to promote the new J’adore l’Or fragrance as part of an internal event.
Pre-event, VAST brought in Roadrunner Rigging to design the overall truss structure and provide technical drawings of the screens to explore different layouts that could create the most impact. The external and internal cladding of the truss structure was created and installed by retail design agency Millington Associates.
VAST proposed an external 5500mm wide x 3000mm high presentation screen using high-resolution 2.5mm LED. The 2.5mm LED was powered by a Novastar MCTRL4K processor with 4K switcher and high-end presentation machines.
The immersive room was then designed using three U-shaped 1.5mm ultra-fine pitch LED screens. The resolution of the internal screens was a huge 8832px wide x 1944px high, achieved by using in total six Brompton SX40 processors and ten Brompton XD10 distribution units, with all content running via a main and backup Pixera media server. Visitors were invited into this room which created an immersive experience, showing the latest video promotional content for J’adore l’Or with an undulating gold effect.
All of the above was installed in just one evening, ready for an all-day event the next day, followed by a derig the very next day.
The result was an incredible, immersive experience, creating something truly unique for the launch of an iconic new product.
